Course Description:
Chronic pain is one of the most prevalent, costly, and disabling conditions in both clinical practice and the workplace, yet it often remains inadequately treated. It is a multifactorial condition with both physical and psychological symptoms. In this workshop you will learn of the many classes of medications utilized for pain management, their uses, side-effects, and efficacy in varying age populations. APRNs, RNs, LPNs, social workers, registered dieticians, and respiratory therapists will earn 3 contact hours. ACHAs will earn 3 (RC).
PTs and OTs will earn 2.75 contact hours.
