Course Description:

The evidence is in and it’s compelling. Health care systems are teeming with opportunities for quality enhancement. And to address those opportunities, evidence based healthcare may be just what the provider ordered. While health care educators and governing organizations suggest evidence based delivery is the gold standard for patient care, maintaining that gold standard isn’t for the faint of heart. Rapidly changing delivery models and access to current research are challenging. And even when evidence based models exist, getting every team member up to speed with the evidence is creating a new area of research known as implementation science. In addition to those challenges, patient centered care models and decision making are putting more power into the hands of patients, but are they ready to accept greater accountability? Join us for an in-depth exploration of the status of evidence based healthcare.
