Two courses combined to benefit Physical and Occupational therapists who treat the upper extremity. In the first part, learn to become comfortable with upper quadrant screening to focus evaluations when symptoms don’t match the diagnosis including understanding cervical spine symptoms, palpation of structures, special testing and evaluation techniques. The second part will address differential diagnosis for the elbow and methods for treating. This course will be lecture with lots of hands on learning and case based problem solving.
This course is designed for the clinician that is new to outpatient upper extremity orthopedics coupled with a strong desire to become proficient in upper extremity rehabilitation or as a supplement to prepare for the CHT exam. This course can also be taken by a veteran clinician that would like to refresh their skills and stay current with evaluation and treatment techniques.
