Course Description:
Pain science is becoming the popular topic in the physical therapy world. There are a lot of pain science experts providing us with great material about how pain works. However, applying this information to practice can be challenging due to the various beliefs our patients and fellow healthcare professionals maintain regarding pain, injury, biomechanics, and the multitude of various treatment approaches. Presenters will discuss their personal journey with integrating pain science into daily practice including pitfalls and wins. Presenters will discuss how they developed a pain “curriculum” for both patients and clinicians based on their experience. Presenters will include research and tools developed by David Butler, Lorimer Moseley, Adrian Louw, Greg Lehman, Ben Cormack, and others.
