Course Description:
Course Description: This course will provide a gender inclusive overview of how pelvic floor function and dysfunction may influence the treatment and evaluation of patients in the orthopedic population.
Learning Objectives:
1. Recognize why pelvic floor function is important while treating orthopedic patients
2. Identify 3 layers of pelvic floor basic muscle anatomy
3. Identify upper, lower and autonomic pelvic floor basic nerve systems
4. Identify proper bladder function including 4 Bradley Loops
5. Identify proper bowel function including RARE reflex.
